DAY OF THE DEAD
Ritual celebration
and performance will highlight the DAY OF THE DEAD (Dia De Los Muertos)
festivities at Highways Performing Space, Nov. 2-6. Paulina Shagun will
star in "Calavereando," a mask theater piece inspired by the
work of the Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada. The celebration of the
circle of life will continue with a "Spiritual Party" immediately
following each performance. Audience members are invited to display photos,
flowers, candles and personal offerings on the altar.
