ATE9 DANCE
COMPANY returns to The Wallis, Nov. 4-6, with the world premiere of Joy,
a humorous and poignant reflection on human habits and addictions. Performances
are at 7pm in the Bram Goldsmith Theater.
The work, choreographed by ATE9's artistic director, Danielle Agami, with
music by Isaiah Gage, examines humanitys yearning for moments of
elation amidst despair, and offers intimate flashes into the mental and
physical states of each cast member.
Agami, noted for her innovative movements, surprising sense of humor and
impeccable craft, has been hailed as choreographys it girl
and nothing short of a terpsichorean force of nature.
Her L.A.-based dance company, which integrates Gaga technique with other
dance styles, last appeared at The Wallis in 2019.We are pleased
to welcome the company back to present the world premiere of Danielle
Agamis latest work, which caps our Fall dance programming
said The Wallis artistic director, Paul Crewes.
