for November/December 2007:
The 2007 AFI LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL will take place Nov. 1-11. Fifteen titles in official selections will be presented, including the world premieres of two documentaries: PUBLIC ENEMY--WELCOME TO THE TERRORDOME (a look at the influential hip-hop group, Public Enemy) and 1000 JOURNALS. The latter depicts the social/art project initiated by "Someguy" in San Francisco, who sent a thousand journals out into the world and received back twenty-five of them containing writings and art from fifteen different countries.
The two US premieres include THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS, directed by Canadian Bruce McDonald, and WITH YOUR PERMISSION, a Danish feature about an oddball operalover, directed by Paprika Steen. For complete festival information visit afifest.com
