Classical Music News for September/October 2005:

MUSIC GALORE IN ORANGE COUNTY

COSTA MESA, CA -- The Orange County Performing Arts Center will present several potentially exciting concerts in September & October.
     

    
Pacific Symphony opens its Classical Series on Sept. 28 with a gala concert featuring violin virtuouso Joshua Bell performing Glazunov's Concerto For Violin in A Minor and Tchaikovsky's Meditation.

Jonathan Biss returns Oct. 19 & 20, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto #4 with Carl St. Clair and the Pacific Symphony.

Pacific Chorale opens its 28th season Oct. 23 with the West Coast premiere of Stephen Paulus' Voices of Light, featuring texts by 13th century female mystics, paired with Carl Orff's ever- popular Carmino Burana.

October will also see concerts sponsored by the Philharmonic Society, including Tiempo Libre, a Miami-based group of seven musicians known for their imaginative high-voltage Latin music.
