MAMA'S BOYS are back with a new CD. The Long Beach-based band is known for its raw, blistering, Chicago-style approach to the blues. Led by Johnny Mastro (harp/vocals), backed by Dave Melton (guitar), Jimmy Goodall (drums) and Jeff Henry (bass), the band sticks to its principles, pounding out eleven powerful, hard-rockin' beats with reckless abandon.

There is no compromise with these guys, no prettying up or holding back. They go for broke every time, whether it's a vocal or an instrumental number, giving everything they have, without benefit of overdubbing or other technical tricks.
