Classical Music News for January/February 2007:

COSTA MESA, CA -- The first two winter chamber music concerts at the Orange County Performing Arts Center will offer the work of the Tokyo String Quartet and Emerson String Quartet.

Tokyo String Quartet performs more than a hundred concerts each year around the world. Its four musicians perform on a priceless group of Stradivarius instruments known as "The Paganini Quartet." At OCPAC, Tokyo will perform works by Mozart, Jennifer Higdon and Schumann.

After performing for more than twenty-five years, the Emerson Quartet may be the most honored string quartet playing today. The group will perform all three of Beethoven's Opus 59 quartets on Jan 24.
