Such major orchestras as San Francisco Symphony, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Bavarian Radio Symphony will play at the 2007 Edinburgh International Festival, which runs from August 10-Sept. 2. Among the participating artists are Michael Tilson Thomas, Toby Spence, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Jordi Savall, Kate Royal, Christine Brewer, Susan Bickley, Christopher Pregardien, and John Williams.

An eclectic range of music will be offered, by such composers as de Falla, Bernstein Sibelius, Stravinsky and Vivaldi.
