WINTER NOTES
COSTA MESA,
CA -- The first two winter chamber music concerts at the Orange County
Performing Arts Center will feature the work of the Tokyo String Quartet
and Emerson String Quartet.
TSQ gives
more than a hundred concerts each year around the world, employing a priceless
collection of Stradivariuses known as "The Paganini Quartet."
At OCPAC, TSQ will focus on works by Mozart, Jennifer Higdon and Schumann.
Having concertized
for more than twenty-five years, the Emerson Quartet may be the most honored
string quartet working today. The group will offer all three of Beethoven's
Opus 59 quartets on Jan 24.
