RENEE FLEMING IN RECITAL
LOS ANGELES-- One of the leading sopranos of our time, Renee Fleming,
will give a one-night-only recital at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Sun. Feb. 24 at 7.30 PM, presented by Los Angeles Opera..

Fleming, who has won four Grammy Awards and was named Musical America's "Vocalist of the Year" in 1997, can count on a devoted following for her work on the operatic stage, in concerts and recitals, on television, radio and recordings, and as a champion of new music. Richard Rado will
accompany her at the Music Center.

In addition to the standard repertoire, Fleming has performed many world premieres, including A Streetcar Named Desire, The Dangerous Liasons and The Ghosts of Versailles. She was seen recently in such major opera productions as Otello, Arabella, Manon, Rosenkavalier, Don Giovanni and Louise. Among her latest CD releases are an album of arias titled Renee Fleming, a complete recording of Thais with Thomas Hampson, and Night Songswith pianist Jean Yves-Thibaudet.
