LOS ANGELES OPERA CELEBRATES...
Placido Domingo will be joined by sopranos Diana Damrau and Sondra Radvanovsky, and bass-baritone Nicolas Teste in a one-night-only concert, April 1, 2017, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young artist program.
“I am thrilled that Diana and Nicolas, two stars of our upcoming production of ‘The Tales of Hoffman,’ will join us on this very special evening of music and celebration,” said General Director Placido Domingo. “I can’t wait to perform with them while sharing the stage with members and alumni of our wonderful young artist program, several of whom are winners of Operalia.”
The concert will take place at 7.30 pm on Sat., April 1, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, 135 N. Grand Ave., LA, CA 90012.
Among the concert’s many musical selections are arias and duets from “Die Fledermaus,” “The Pearl Fishers,” and Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro.”
