THE CLEMENCY OF TITUS
Los Angeles Opera will introduce a stunning new production of Mozart's final masterpiece, THE CLEMENCY OF TITUS, March 2-24 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Conducted
by James Conlon and directed by Thaddeus Strassberger ("Nabucco,"
2017), THE CLEMENCY OF TITUS stars Russell Thomas as the imperiled leader
whose generosity and compassion point the way to a brighter future.

The opera depicts a powerful civilization falling victim to the machinations
of power players seeking glory. In a drama marked by shifting layers of
morality and loyalty, Mozart's unmistakable love for humanity shines through
in his glorious and endlessly inventive music.
The brand-new production, which takes its visual inspiration from the
art world, was also designed by Strassberger and features costumes by
Mattie Ulrich.
Other featured singers are Elzabeth DeShong (Sextus), Guangun Yu (Vitella),
Janai Brugger (Servila) and James Creswell (Publus).
