THEATRE 40's 2011/2012 SEASON

On Sept. 22nd, Theatre 40, the Beverly Hills-based rep company, will mount the second play in its 2011/12 season, JIMMY AND SAM. Written by Michael Rhodes, Pat Harrington, Jr. and Howard Storm, the comedy deals with the relationship between two elderly men, one Irish, the other Jewish, who have been friends for forty years. Tim Byron Owen, founding member of the Celtic Arts Center, will direct the world premiere of JIMMY AND SAM. Closing date is Oct. 23rd.

The other plays in Theatre 40's new season include: A BOUQUET OF ROSES by Victor L. Cahn, THE COLOR OF ROSE by Kathrine Bates, DREAMS OF THE WASHER KING by Christopher Wall, LAURA by Vera Caspary & George Sklar, and (in May 2012) THE CIRCLE by Somerset Maugham. The National Theatre poll lists THE CIRCLE as one of the best 100 plays of the 20th century.

Theatre 40 is located at 241 Moreno Drive, on the grounds of Beverly Hills high school. For reservations and information: 310-364-0535 or theatre40.org
