PACIFIC SYMPHONY'S EUROPEAN TOUR

COSTA MESA, CA -- As the Pacific Symphony prepares for the September opening (at Orange County Performing Arts Center) of the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, it recently completed its first European tour, a nine-city, three country-tour that concluded in Vienna's venerable Knnzerthaus.

The tour, which took the orchestra to many of the great concert halls of Europe, was part of a milestone year for the organization and another step in the symphony's growing prominence on the national and international scene. It was also an important opportunity to play in halls that were built on the same acoustic principles as The Center's new hall, allowing the musicians to have a preview of the acoustical environment they will enjoy in their new home this fall.
