L.A. OPERA DOES WEILL
LOS ANGELES -- Due in February are two new productions at Los Angeles Opera: Kurt Weill's Rise and Fall of the City of Mahoganny, starring Tony Award-winners Patti LuPone and Audra McDonald, and Richard Wagner's Tannhauser. The romantic masterpiece features Peter Seiffert, Petra Maria Schnitzer, Franz-Josef Selig, Martin Gantner and Lioba Braum.
