March/April 2007 JOFFREY BALLET RETURNS TO L.A. LOS ANGELES -- The fourth season of the Dance at the Music Center series continues with the return of the Joffrey Ballet to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, March 22-24. Co-Founder and Artistic Director Gerald Arpino has scheduled two programs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company. The first will feature Les Presages (choreograph by Leonide Massine), The Green Table (Kurt Joss) and Apollo (by George Balanchine), accompanied by a live orchestra. Program B is set to music by contemporary artists such as the Beach Boys, Prince and a variety of Motown composers. Twyla Tharp, Donald Byrd and Laura Dean are the choreographers. A 30-minute pre-performance discussion begins one hour prior to each performance. Tickets are priced from $25 to $115 and can be ordered through Ticketmaster (ticketmaster.com) or at the Pavilion box office, 135 N.
