CAMERATA PACIFICA ANNOUNCES 2007-2008 SEASON

SANTA BARBARA -- Camerata Pacifica's 2007-2008 season will feature an assorted and wide-ranging repertoire. While opening Sept. 14 with Mozart, Beethoven and Liszt, the ensemble, now in its 18th season, will also perform contemporary works by Ian Wilson, Alfred Schnittke and Thea Musgrave.

In addition to performances by an international pool of thirty musicians, CP's season features the debut of its newly appointed Piano Quartet of Principal Artists: Warren Jones (piano), Catherine Leonard (violin), Ani Aznavoorian (cello) and Richard O'Neill (viola).

Guest artists for the upcoming season include Barry Douglas and Nicholas Daniel. The premiere performance of Ian Wilson's Heft for flute and piano is scheduled for Jan. 2008.
