EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND -- The Shanghai Peking Opera Troupe will present THE REVENGE OF PRINCE ZI DAN, adapted by Zhu Sheng-Hao from William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Aug. 19-21 at the 2011 Edinburgh International Festival.

The Shanghai Peking Opera Troupe is a virtuosic ensemble deidcated both to preserving the ancient artistry of Chinese opera and extending its repertoire beyond traditional boundaries.

THE REVENGE OF PRINCE ZI DAN has music by Jin Guo-xian and is directed by Shi Yu-kun. The opera runs 2 hrs 15 mins and will be mounted at Festival Theatre.
