LOS ANGELES -- Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater marks its 50th anniversary with a 50-city global tour including performances March 18-22 at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The two programs include the Southern California premiere of Go in Grace, choreographed by Hope Boykin to music by Grammy Award-winning female a capella ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock, which performs opening night. All programs include Revelations and commence with a short film about the history of the company, known for its African-American cultural expression and American modern dance traditions.
