March/April 2011: DANCE AT THE BOWL LOS ANGELES -- Dance will be a featured part of at least two musical events at the Hollywood Bowl this summer. On August 5, an all-star cast will mount a fully-staged performance of HAIRSPRAY, John Waters's doo-wop story set in 1962 Baltimore, featuring big dreams, big voices and, of course, big dance contests. On September 16 the Fireworks Finale will feature A NIGHT AT THE MOULIN ROUGE, an intoxicating adventure through the City of Lights with high-kicking dancers direct from the legendary Moulin Rouge performing the can-can, and the jazzy French cabaret sounds of Paris Combo, accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and a dazzling fireworks display.
