Pacifica, the Southern California chamber music society now in its 21st
season, will offer a November concert featuring some of its favorite ensembles.
The society's
principal string trio illuminates Beethoven's "Opus 9, No 1"
and joins Nicholas Daniel's oboe for Thea Musgrave's "Cantilena."
The pairing of Nick Daniel and Richard O'Neal has sparked a unique chemistry
which will be applied to the romantic "Schifflieder, Op. 28 (Song
of the Reeds)" by Klughardt and the deliciously Brazilian miniature,
"Modinha for Oboe, Viola and Piano." Pianist Adam Neiman opens
the program with Chopin's "Ballade in G Minor."
Camerata
Pacifica's November concerts take place on successive nights in Los Angeles,
Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Marino. For tickets and information call
